11:19 pm: I am swearing off taking random trips to places further than an hour away during the week.
Death Cab was really fun and awesome, and it was nice to be in DC and not freezing on the National Mall with literally millions of other people, but I was already a little behind and now I'm really behind on homework.
I have to finish two papers tonight, and it's already after 11. This would only be kind of a problem if I hadn't gotten home at 5:30 am today. I'm going on very little sleep and will probably get very little again tonight.

However, I did get to actually see the White House.
And saw a drunk guy try to fight a bouncer who had a good foot and 100lbs on him. It was great.

Back to homework I guess.

07:39 pm: Best. Day. EVER!
It went so well, mostly.
I managed to wake up at 7:30 after a night of celebrating St. Patrick's Day properly, because I had to finish a paper before class. Then met up with some friends and got delicious breakfast that only cost $3.80.
Any day with breakfast and birks is good day in my book.

First class was not so great because we're reading a book about a transsexual who went from a woman to a gay man, and it turns out there is someone who is doing the exact same thing in the class, so basically he never shut up, and I need participation points hardcore.

But oh god, the weather was so nice. I spent an hour and half a half reading and drinking iced coffee, it was great. Then we had class outside! I befriended a wasp who decided he liked my cologne and was chilling on my shirt for like 10 minutes. The bug had good taste. Also I was very impressive with my Anthlove and knowledge of kinship systems, and may have drawn a kinship chart on the sidewalk.

However now I don't get to sleep in tomorrow even though my morning class is canceled because I got roped in to working the Anth Club book and bake sale at 9am. I also need to make cookies (mental note)

Regarding...other things
Bayside pretty much explains everything:

"Don't confuse neediness for love
Because obsession never lasts and you're insane by a landside"

That's all.

07:31 pm: Last night around 11 my friend told me he was going to Pittsburgh (today) to look at the Culinary Institute. I decided (while drunk) that Claire and I would tag along and pretend to be his parents and ask obnoxious questions. (aside: We also randomly join tours that go through campus and ask obnoxious questions) Basically Lee decided that he didn't want to go to culinary school in the first five minutes of the presentation (which started at 9:30, so we had to leave at 7) but I got to watch steak being made at 10 am.

Afterwards we walked around downtown and spoke with outrageous British accents and contemplated ice skating at PPG. Then we made an appearance at my house and went to Ross Park Mall (where I bought charcoal jeans AND two shirts for $17, hooray sales!)

09:43 pm: So I am going to be in the Autumn Leaf Parade.
On a float.
Wearing lederhosen.
The theme of our float is BARACKtoberfest.
Also on the float with me will be Franco Harris!
It's ridiculous.

My first thought was "shouldn't I be dressed like George Washington instead?"
Only Brittany will understand.

05:22 pm: Autumn Leaf is pretty fun, except when it's happening outside your window at eight in the morning.

I finally joined 2008 and installed Leopard on my computer.
It's pretty, but I will never use most of the stuff on it. Seriously, I don't have an external hard drive, so I don't need time machine, and all the things popping out of the dock when you click on them is really annoying.

I spent most of my day writing a paper and doing my take home bioanthropology exam. Which is easy, but there are so many parts that it's annoying.

So now I only have two more papers to do. And they're both due the 6th!

06:33 pm: Class at 9:30 with the most chipper teacher in the world is going to be interesting.

And my french class is an iTV class, where my class and a class in Slippery Rock are connected via tv (like the Jetsons!) It's very distracting, because I keep looking at the screen and not the board and stuff.
And the kid who sits next to me looks like he's 12. No lie, he comes up to my belly button.

Also I'm not sure how I feel about my math class. The teacher seems cool, and I have friends in it, but there is also this Asian kid who doesn't speak english very well and he interrupts all the time.
Plus the teacher is a high school teacher, so letting class out early is a foreign concept for him.

But the five hours in between classes is perfect for napping.
And it's hard to find anywhere to park on campus.

Being a junior now, we did work in almost all of my classes. On the first day! Thats like a sin.

03:47 pm: Shopping for curtains isn't as fun as shopping for clothes.
I went out looking for curtains but ended up buying two pairs of jeans and some shirts instead.

Also, For one of my classes I have 2 actual textbooks and 4 ethnographies!
And my Bioanthropology book is over $100 used on the internet!!!

08:25 pm: Today at work I was given a zucchini bread AND a bottle of vodka.
Where else but the Lincoln House?

10:24 pm: The crazy hicks who formed their own militia and built bombs and grenade launchers and all kinds of weapons.
From Clarion County.
No one is surprised.
